Phil is better known as the voice of many railway stations throughout the country, especially on the Southern Region. I'm not sure where the voice of the 'mind the gap' has come from as he isn't the original voice of that announcement. Still, he was the best of the station announcers for my money and give me his tones over that awful Estuary English voice at stations like Lime Street any day!
