RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
[quote='mbonwick' pid='82429' dateline='1447706016'] Except Birkenhead isn't Liverpool is it? It's part of the Wirral....and even if we stretch Ribble's former presence in Liverpool to include the Wirral, they never operated from Rock Ferry. Therefore the Ribble garage which is still in use is more appropriate for a tribute vehicle. By coincidence, I've just watched an early 1960s episode of Z Cars where Ribble PD3 1787 features prominently. It is first seen at Woodside about to operate a service to North Wales. I have no idea why a Crosville vehicle wasn't used but, if you believe what you see on the television, Ribble did operate through Rock Fery on the Wirral. |
