I am 17 and so are just short of the voting age. When the time comes, I probably won't vote. The reason being is the choice good enough? At the end of the day all political parties and politicians are in it for the pay. Governments don't really care about the people, all they want is to generate enough revenue to keep their pockets lined. This applies all over the world. I am a former councillor and am standing again in next Thursday's local elections, and must ask on what evidence you are basing the statement that ALL politicians 'are in it' for the pay?

My evidence to rebut your sweeping and wildly inaccurate allegation is that I could introduce you to many, many local and national politicians in the region of nearly every mainstream party that are most certainly NOT 'in it' for the money, and work long and hard for their electors and area, usually without fuss and often at considerable personal sacrifice.
