Over the last few years, most of the new diesel double deckers seem to have been the Scania versions. There must be some examples of the Scanias running on city routes at least somewhat similar to the 20/21. What about the 88 in Sheffield - a cross-city route but still stop-start in nature. Given the length of the 20/21 as well (over an hour each way), I don't think the Scanias would be too bad a fit - and certainly a massive improvement on the integral Enviro300s which are wholly unsuitable.
