RE: Vision Coaches
Great, thanks for that! Yes, their legal name is indeed Huyton Mini Coaches, I only found that out quite recently by the legal lettering on one of their coaches. They seem to have dispensed with the Home James and Supertravel identities, perhaps not surprising in the latter case! RE03 JAK is almost certainly the explanation for the mysterious white Skyliner that I saw several times a few months ago, which I never managed to identify. I'd also forgotten about the Prima. (Interestingly this shows on DVLA as first registered 2008, and it appears that before becoming S799 JBA, it was R-registered for the first 10 years of its life, so not sure what happened there!) In addition, I've discovered another Scania/Irizar PB, V15 VSN. I believe I've also deduced the previous identities of this, V3 and V10, by process of elimination - they are from the First Cymru 233xx (YN54) batch originally used on National Express work. (As to which is which, this is from comparing trivial details between "then" and "now" photos on Flickr.) Finally, do they still have the other ex-Oxford Tube Jonckheere Monaco, MJZ 8376? (I think this is actually the former T49 BBW, despite a number of assertions on Flickr that it is T59 - however, the latter has been unlicensed since 2008 and has been reported in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, Ireland as 99-C-30482). Most recent photo of MJZ I found was 2012, but DVLA shows it's still taxed. Revised list: vision.html (Size: 3.38 KB / Downloads: 10) Thanks again for the help |
