And the other thing is the Virgin branding when operational control is with Stagecoach. Ask anyone who has the misfortune to live in Surrey or Hampshire and has to deal with SWT.

I was going to say it's like booking to fly to LHR on Virgin and finding you're actually on Aer Lingus. However that's a different arrangement and the reality is it's more like booking Virgin and finding you're actually on Ryanair.

Unfortunately Anytime fares are unregulated. £11.20 for a 21 mile journey is very high but neither ATW or Virgin seem prepared to provide a competitive fare. I think that the problem is that few people buy the ticket as for most people the CTR-CRE journet is part of a through ticket beyond CRE or CTR.
