As for the pay rates on Boxing Day - if what I've been told drivers were actually queing up to work Boxing Day in Manchester - and it's no wonder with rates like that Smile

Thanks for that but when I set up this thread I was hoping that responses would be from a passenger's perspective. The issue of rates or differing rates of pay probably doesn't register with the travelling public but whether there is a bus service does.

Recently there was a newspaper article questioning why there is no bus service in London on Christmas Day and the journalist was keen to dismiss the argument by TfL that there is no demand from the public and an unwillingness by staff to work on that day.
