RE: Historical Fleet Question
Thank you very much. I can remember getting on one of these new on the 97 once. I paid 5p for the dog getting a yellow square style ticket and my child saveaway was about 30p. It had a door that opened in a three way fold and the stairs went to the top front right of the bus. It also had brown leather seats. I think it was when it had the old style single line number destination board. Rather than the re arranged seperate number and destination line. I recall it was a green style early dot matrix display that wasnt very visable.. This is one of my earliest bus memories, and i remember getting off at the ld woodside with the lay by on the left facng the ferry, where buses laid over and I also remember the drivers office on the left side of the Ferry. Sorry for the pre amble View my flickr http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/104753198@N08/ my flickr account. |
