510 is a long standing route, are First trying to kill two birds with one stone and remove two routes with this 511 service?

One journey per hour on the 24 during the weekday off-peak will be replaced by the 23, running to the same times between Manchester and Thornham. Peak-times and Saturday service remains unchanged with the 24 running half-hourly.

Journeys on the 24 that will be taken over by the 23:
From Manchester: 0827 and every hour until 1327 then 1417 and 1517
From Rochdale: 0941 and every hour until 1441 then 1538 and 1643

The 511 will run along Garstang Road in both directions and then heads down Bury Road towards Empire Road/Withins Lane before running along 510 route.
