One of the 08 reg Enviro400's allocated to 236's today seemed to really struggle up the steep Mottram road in Stalybridge with the bus barely reaching what felt like 5/10mph. It was so bad the driver kept waving cars to overtake when their were breaks in oncoming traffic.
Hopefully the allocators at AZ will make a note of these 'slow' ones and keep them off the hilly 236/237

Yes it's surprising how some of the Enviro400's seem to struggle with the hill, yet a number of the MAN's, etc seem to manage ok. Maybe it's something to do with the bus being heavier and so needing more power, which the Enviro400's haven't got.

Talking of MAN's, 22136 in Sale (Broad Road) about 4.00 pm this afternoon - possibly waiting for its turn on the X5 to Stockport?
