answer= shortage of drivers due to the preverbial xmas do several journeys were cancelled too
cos a lot were there (approx 50 drivers) cant imagine what todays shortages were like as was open bar all night too.

Comments like this make me glad I don't have to rely on First Pioneer on a regular basis. Journeys cancelled because drivers were all at the Christmas doo. What a joke

Surley they could have draughted in drivers from other depots to cover.

Seriously all the drivers and depot staff are out getting sloshed while the very passengers that pay their wages stand at bus stops in the rain and wind waiting for buses that won't be turning up.
