They dont listen in America , whats the point of even trying to reason with an American over gun control , they seem to think its there god given right to bear arms .

Not sure about god given, but it is specifically stated in their constitution that every man has the right to bear arms.

However, in 1770's the target was the British! Now it seems to be their fellow citizens.

But dont you agree though that its time something was sorted out in the supposedly land of milk and honey.
