When Maytree ran these routes, they faced a lot of abuse for bad time keeping, and the issue was the kearsley spur mostly, and the tight timings in and out of Bolton and Bury repectivley. Now though, both routes haven't been running to time for the last two weeks, drivers going the wrong way, and these are drivers that operate this route on a daily basis. So much so that today, at Bury a TFGM offical was talking to us, and saying sorry for the issues with the late running, so much so that we over heard a conversation, with the Bury inspector, being told in no un certain terms get on the phone to Bolton Depot and find out what is going on. He handed out complaint forms to us all, and every passenger took one. Not that I'am stupid enough to believe it will do any good. It does seem though that timings is not enough of an exscuse anymore as these routes never run to time, no matter what time of day it is. One of the engineers, based at Bury was saying they are always having relaibility issues with them, one in particular was apparantly at one point they couldn't go above 25 miles per hour, with them being electric, he said a message was flashing up on the dash, saying they were not fuel efficent, or something like that. I was on 49121 yesterday morning and 49123 today this morning. Personally I don't rate them, at all. And of course what faffs it up the most is First engineers can't touch them, due to them being electric. |
