People go on about Merseyrail 507/508 stock but they are not the oldest in the country those being Class 313s. Indeed South West Trains units 5701-42/50 each contain one carriage from 508101-43 which was removed on transfer to Merseyside. Indeed again SWT are to refurbish all 455s at Bournemouth over the next few years. All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles |
