RE: Stagecoach Manchester

Yet i will probably have a valid mega rider that i carnt use. There is no obligation for bus operators to provide any bus service on Boxing Day, so at least Stagecoach are providing some sort of service, given many operators across the country. Boxing Day is worked on a voluntary basis, but obviously staff can be called upon to work if there are not enough volunteers come forward. Another thing is that services are operated where is likely to be demand. Don't forget that only major retail centres open on Boxing Day whilst smaller towns don't reopen until the 27th. Quote: Im sure the drivers that work on Boxing Day and New Years day are rewarded, and judging by the high flat fares Stagecoach will be charging they will be raking it in. Actually Stagecoach charges normal fares. First followed suit with that last year. The only tickets we cannot sell (as is the case with all operators) on Boxing Day are System Ones. But we can accept valid passes! |
