Arriva have quite a few Sprinters dotted about the UK (including the NW) from the unsuccessful Click schemes, even a local depot such as Speke could lose one theoretically as the 201 can use a full size bus.

It’s also worth noting that the Altrincham services CAN be ran with a reasonable size minibus such as an Optare Solo, and there’s plenty around locally that could be swapped out.
