At the time it was called X2, but looking back through timetables it seems it went back from Halton Lea dead all the way to the depot.
Then at the end of April 2019 it changed to running in service as X2 from Halton Lea just as far as Helsby, before continuing back dead to the depot.
Then in September 2019, the current situation was established, running back to Chester as X30.
