I arrived back at Manchester Airport late in the evening on Monday. I caught the 23.46 from the Airport as far as East Didsbury on a train continuing to Blackpool North. Before it pulled in they promised it would be a 4-car train. I hoped it would be a 319, especially as it was non-stop from Manchester to Preston avoiding Bolton, but it was a double 156 in the end. For good measure, they were both in purple defunct Northern Rail livery. |
