The 50/51/52 (not 39) were on the transfer through ticket system at Newton. I didn't do Leigh much but daily Wigan, Warrington, and often to St.Helens. LUT was generally straight forward alighting only (inbound) and minimum fare to boundary (outbound or cross town). I'm not sure exactly when my dad would have used them or for what journeys but he was born in Leigh in the late 20s and was living in another party of the country by the late 60s. |
