Looking at the registration, it would seen it is commercial so probably is as you say, positioning but that is weird given that the 605 starts and ends at the depot. Stagecoach don't often do positioning moves in the sense of new routes. They do normally do positioning using existing routes (for example if they ran extras on the 5 and 9 to get buses to and from the depot rather than running dead into town). If they use the 23 as a positioning move, it makes me wonder why they aren't doing a 41W from the depot into Town, a route which a lot more buses run dead. The fact is is Hail and Ride instantly says to me it is for the village as well and not positioning as Parkgate Road has bus stops. |
