Alderley Edge to Wigan via Bolton interworked with Wigan to Stalybridge via Bolton and Manchester Airport to Windermere were the routes mentioned which will require 7 of the 8 x 769s in daily usage. Manchester Airport to Windermere is temporary until 2019 as the 769s don't meet the required 'Northern Connect' spec. There's talk of Alderley Edge to Wigan being extended to Southport using 769s at the December 2019 timetable change. |
