The franchise agreement indicated all the Angel Trains 150s at GWR and LM would transfer to Northern, with the 2 x 3 car 150/0s joining, along with 3 x 2 car sets after the existing GWR franchise ends. It also indicates 5 x 319s were secured on a lease expiring in 2020 and 27 x 319s were secured on a lease expiring in 2025, with the 321 and 322 leases also expiring in 2020 and a batch of 331s joining the fleet in 2020.

However, GWR have those 12 class 150 carriages on a lease which would be automatically extended if DfT grant a further franchise extension and it's rumoured DfT will do that, meaning Angel Trains wouldn't be able to honour their agreement with Northern.
