The Lime Street to Victoria service will be diverted to Piccadilly and joined on to the Manchester-Crewe via Airport service.

TPE will take over the semi-fast path on Chat Moss from Northern and Northern will take over the semi-fast path from TPE on the CLC. This will mean the Liverpool to Scarborough service will be diverted via St Helens Junction and the Liverpool to Airport semi-fast will be diverted via Warrington. TPE have now said Liverpool-Edinburgh via York will call at St Helens Junction but Newton-le-Willows will be served by Liverpool-Scarborough (originally it was envisaged Liverpool-Edinburgh would run non-stop on Chat Moss.)
