Whilst we're on the subject though interestingly Halton put the highest single fare Warrington - Widnes etc up to £3.50 in about November last year but then dropped it back down to £3 again. I suppose it must have been a bit of an exercise to see if putting fares up would have an adverse effect on passenger numbers or something along those lines.
