RE: Merseyrail
Have any of the 'refurbished' units had the worn floor vinyls replaced? I haven't been on a Merseyrail train for a while but the last time I did I caught one which had new seat covers but very worn floor vinyls. |

507004 has been reunited with its 'Bob Paisley' name, leaving just the 'John Peel' and 'Capital of Culture' names to potentially return. Units still to receive the internal refresh as of last weekend were: 507002/003/015/017/019/027/028/031, 508111/112/114/124/136/137/143.

RE: Merseyrail
They've replaced the seat covers, repainted the panelwork and installed litter bins and new signage. The purple colour has been eliminated from the panels, but the floors are not replaced. It's really more of a basic refresh than an actual refurbishment. Speaking of which, I think 508114 is now done having seen it briefly this morning. The seats are retrimmed litter bins installed panel work repainted and tidied up and the doors have been repainted and fitted with orange strips down the edges signage has also been upgraded including the cycle bay where the sign states that the bay is priority for cyclists and has to be given up if a cyclist needs to use it it also states that prams can use it if its not needed by a wheelchair but cyclists have first priority to it.

RE: Merseyrail
There are some overnight closures of the level crossing at Maghull coming up. First closure is on 13 Feb between 00:30 and 05:00. Presuming this is due to maintenance work on the crossing? |
