RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot
As SL64 has mentioned, the binnacle design on these new Enviro400s is slightly different from the older ones, so the drivers will probably need some familiarisation. I can't really see another reason why 4621 would have been registered ahead of the others. It's most likely it will go into service with the others, as seen with 4556 and 4557 at Speke.

For one the starting procedure is different from the older models as the new ones have a safety switch you have to press while pressing the start switch. |

Rare dart on 62 this morning, too far away to I.D but could be 2224. |

It is 2224 on 62, just had a close up look at it, this shakes so much that I am even shaking and I only crossed over the road close to it. Horrible bus and withdrawal must beckon, although sometimes it is this type of bus that is one of the last to go. One to be avoided this one. |

RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot
It must be love.... Loads of Trident2/Enviro400 deckers on City Centre-bound routes this Valentine's Day, although I can't understand why. Is Saturday an unusually busy day for the 52/53/55 routes, or are Bootle trialling these ageing 58-plate/09-plate deckers in preparation for the new 15-plate deckers due in the next few weeks? If you don't like deckers it's not really a case of love at first sight, it's more like like-it-or-lump-it! |

But, as you say, perhaps the management is preparing passengers for the new, permanent deckers on this route. Whether they like it or not, a lot of passengers will have to get used to travelling on the top deck at busy times. |

RE: Arriva North West - Bootle Depot
Thanks! I forgot the weekday frequency is reduced from 7/8 mins to 10 mins on Saturdays. Surely it's a better idea to have a Monday-to-Saturday 7/8 mins frequency instead, thereby cancelling the need for these weedy, gasping late-running deckers. Believe me, a Pulsar is a lot faster. |
