This same train was cancelled again this morning due to another unit having a technical fault. Hope these faults arent about to start becoming commonplace.

Early morning services will always be prone to faults that can only be found when the unit is prepped for service .

RE: Merseyrail
Two of the Ormskirk/Kirkby workings this morning started life as three cars (507031 and 508104), but they were soon formed up (with 507001 and 507003 respectively). There was an all day three car working however on the Ellesmere Port in the form of 507016 which had originated from a stretched Kirkdale. Everything else on the network was six car in connection with the LIM Festival, apart from the Southports of course which are always six cars on weekends at this time of year.

In a nice gesture, Merseyrail put on a special wedding train today from Fazakerley to Liverpool with a decorated centre carriage. 508130 had the honour of working the service. Liverpool Echo article.

508128 has actually been like that for a while, MX12. About three to four weeks I think. In fairness, I haven't seen anything new graffitied since around that time.

With all the recent events requiring a large amount of units to be available at any one time and then catching up with units that have then come to the mileage limit , this unit has been low down on the list of to do items . It is a pity its on one of the recently reliveried units .

Does the graffiti come off these units better than the previous vinyled units which looked a bit of mess.
