Hasn't the 118/119 been Merseybus/MTL/Arriva for a long time. Think it was only Crosville for a few months after dereg. Was a similar situation to the 121/122 until last October when Hattons won it.

It has been with merseybus and successors for most of the last 20 odd years if it goes it will be the end of an era , i wonder whether some of the sunday 118/119 turns could be made commercial but not all of them keeping the same number because the 418/9 run to woodside which i dont think is feasible on a sunday but new brighton would be a better idea .

Anyone who has contact with management at LS might be able to confirm this

My driver Source at LS said he spoke to To the manager as he helps programme the dests and was told that from October they have the following
118/9, 218/9 and 174/5 if this is true it could be a interesting move

I've heard from a couple of drivers at laird st that it's confirmed they have kept the 118/119/218/219. Not sure on the 175 story though.

Yes Laird Street do keep the 118/119 and they also have the 174/5.

According to the school's head teacher, there are likely to be Merseytravel services to/from Birkenhead School/Birkenhead High School commencing in September. Not sure if these will be in addition to or instead of the 5 private contracts currently operated by Happy Als.
