RE: Merseyrail
No, they're in a completely new livery just one side is in a similar colour to the existing livery. Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

RE: Merseyrail
As expected, re-liveried 507011 was on the Ormskirk line and 507017 on the Chester line today. The livery looks quite nice in the flesh, and it's good to see they have re-vinyled the front ends of both units since the launch (although they look the same as the previous livery). I don't like the different colours on each side - I'd prefer yellow both sides - but either way it's an improvement over the ghastly older livery. In short, the livery promotes various attractions throughout the Merseyside region and the benefits for passengers of using the train, There are carriages for work travel, student travel, sport, shopping, the coast and the sights. Photos to follow in due course. Elsewhere, all Formby - Hunts Cross line trains were six cars, as is to be expected without the siding space available at Southport. Amongst the eight pairs today was a familiar six car of 507003 and 507004. The next unit to receive the new livery is also being stripped in Birkenhead North Depot as of earlier this evening. Can anyone confirm which unit this is, please?

RE: Merseyrail
Not entirely the "normal livery". Very similar colour, no stripes by drivers cabs. Doors have "M"'s on them and it is more in line with an advertising livery. Have a look on the links on this forum |

508122 the next one. |

RE: Merseyrail
Am I understanding this right - the two sides each unit are in different liveries? If this is correct someone has surely lost the plot. That's like an LS hybrid having green livery on one side and standard fleet livery on the other side. |

RE: Merseyrail
It is unique, that is for sure. Maybe it would have been better to have entirely grey/yellow trains in hindsight... |

RE: Merseyrail
To be honest when looking at the side with grey on it looks very similar in shade to the livery that it replaced , just with all the decals and pics on , the yellow side is a refreshing change from the grey though. |
