Great British Railway Journeys
New series starts today on BBC2 Lots of local interest in the first couple of episodes as Michael travels from Manchester to Birkenhead, visiting the Tram Museum and Port Sunlight. He then travels from Southport to Leyland.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00xgqxy...e#b03pmw3y |

[quote='DVG526' pid='50103' dateline='1389010600'] New series starts today on BBC2 Lots of local interest in the first couple of episodes as Michael travels from Manchester to Birkenhead, visiting the Tram Museum and Port Sunlight. He then travels from Southport to Leyland.. Visiting that ground rather spoilt the show! Cheers Rob Day Formerly 51537 |

RE: Great British Railway Journeys
Come off it , Manchester United is such an important football ground in North West England , also one of the few grounds in the country with direct access to the railway from it . Somebody was thinking far ahead when they built the ground so close to the railway . |

It is not the only football ground with easy access to a railway station,AFAIK no other club has been visited on his travels so why favour that scum Cheers Rob Day Formerly 51537 |

The producers also probably wanted something in the programme to be like a talking point , no matter which football team he would have gone to there would always opposing supporters against it . |
