i still cant see however who would even buy wigans depot at its current fleet, if SLT had the money this would be a good move however with them being a small company they might not have the cash, arriva might move in so they go bigger in greater manchester

I wouldnt want to SPECULATE on anything until something more concrete comes out , we are talking about peoples jobs here and anything said could be detrimental to them in the short and medium term.

Not total speculation as Firstgroup have issued a statment, and claimed it was leaked to a bus mag. No further comments to employees have been consulted who it may or may not effect.

So do I, as what your saying matches in with First groups wording of its statment, saying the majority of the group offers a good return. Majority is a key word. We will see though.

RE: First Manchester
yea so in order to get the profits sorted they will sell a few depots and withdraw a few routes that hardly pay/dont pay at all

RE: First Manchester
Ok , the problem is there trying to sell in a market where the competition authorities will have a major effect on what can be sold and who to especially if any of the depots happen to be in ITA area's where there is some of the big groupings already , these other big groupings are highly unlikely to want to incur the wrath of the CC.
