RE: Merseyrail
I dont think the stock interchange line is open as there is a big buffer at the end of platform 2 at James St. Coincidently, 507015 is on the wirral side. Perhaps there is no need to keep them to one line with the loop being closed. Maybe the tight single bore tunnels by Moorfields Northern line platforms are as similar as they can get to the loop, so that could be why they have been swapped?

RE: Merseyrail
Because platform 2 is constantly used during the blockade , it makes moving stock that little bit harder

Theres two short periods a week (cant remember the exact date/times) when the stock interchange is open for stock transfers. Apart from that its part of the possession.

Entirely agree with this. It's about time the Sunday service was enhanced year-round as the 30 minute timetable hasn't been enough for several years. A potentially attractive alternative may be forming the winter services of 6 cars throughout if a 15 minute service is impractical.

To be honest cant see a problem with the 15 minute service applying to Winter Sunday services , there is more than enough sets available , it just utilises sets that would otherwise be spare on a sunday .

One of the major problems on a Sunday is staffing, some Sundays theres barely enough traincrew for a 30min service let alone an enhanced one

IIRC it's open 2 nights a week the 1st 2 weeks then 3 or 4 nights in the 3rd week. If I get chance I will trawl through the NR possession notes to get the right info.

RE: Merseyrail
507023, which I think was over at Birkenhead last week was one of the Ormskirk 6 cars this morning so there must be some movements.

Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

RE: Merseyrail
That's right, 507023 was on New Brighton/West Kirby turns last Saturday. Last time there was a major loop closure I remember there being a stop block at the end of platform 2 of James Street, but stock movements were still taking place every few days.
