Can't say I have ever heard this alarm before - is it just a feature of the Scanias or do all North East buses have this installed?

Only the Arriva OmniCitys have it.

Typical Jesmond, obviously no driver familiarisation done there then!

Do you mean yesterday? As 4644 was out on the X66 this morning alongside two of 4647/56/7, 1493 and 1650.

No, it was today at around lunchtime, parked up in the depot, definitely 4644 as I got a photo of it.

RE: Arriva North East
It was Wrexhams 4402 which was up in Darlington for promotional purposes only.
There will be a fleet of 12 new Pulsars arriving in October for service 7, 11 of them to Sapphire spec for the 7 and one to normal spec.

The 12th one due in October (1512, ironic isn't it) is to join 1506-11 on the 1/5/5a as I understand it. The Sapphire ones will be 1513-23, and will mark the end of this year's investment in new vehicles.

Not quite. It will go to Stockton to help their X1 allocation, along with 1498 (when it is repaired), which is still the missing Pulsar from the 15 PVR increase in January.

If 1512 doesnt go directly to Stockton, it may displace either 1492 or 1493 back to Stockton.

Also rumoured is that 1512 and 1498 will both go to Darlington to displace 1492 and 1493 back to Stockton, so how knows?

All I know if that Stockton are expected to get two Pulsars as part of the above to aid their X1 allocation.

RE: Arriva North East
OmniCity 4658 is now at Stockton, seemingly moving today and entering service this afternoon on the 5a replacing outgoing 4662 which is likely to be collected by Jesmond tonight. This leaves just one move from the mid June moves left to take place (4654 from Redcar to Stockton, with 4054 withdrawn).

Prestige 4040 was on the 27/27a this afternoon while 4042 was on the 9 and 1711 replaced 1917 on the 29.

RE: Arriva North East
Darlington's 1509 is on the X66 alongside older sister 1425 and Darts 1639/50.

Stockton had OmniCity 4652 on the X6 earlier but it has since gone onto 28/30. 4662 remains at Stockton and is on the X1/X2.
