Currently on 2551 on the 492, the seating is much like a patchwork quilt and my god the turbo leak squeal on this is just about bearable. I'd much rather one of the X-reg ones right now that's saying something from someone who really dislikes them.

Just noticed the 409 destination says Wallasey "Villiage".

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
The new Volvo hybrids have finally appeared on the DVLA's website.

And yes, the '5' in B5LH really does mean five-litre diesel (well, 4.7 litre to be exact). I just hope the leccy motors are big enough to power these big deckers (they'll probably weigh 11 tonne) as 4.7 litres pushing 11 tonnes sounds crazy to me.

Anyway, DVLA Vehicle Enquiry;
4492 (MX62 KTC) NEW 10-02-2013, TAXED 01-03-2014, 4760ccDIESEL, WHITE, £500 PER YEAR.
4493 (MX62 KTD) NEW 10-02-2013, TAXED 01-03-2014, 4760ccDIESEL, WHITE, £500 PER YEAR.

Haven't a clue why they're listed as being white, and why are they paying the full TC34 decker tax of £500 per year? Surely they should fit into the Tax Class 38 category as I thought they're low emission vehicles (£165 per year)??

Actully B5LHs are quite fast compared to the Enviro 400H

Some interesting allocations today... where do we start!

2442 and a pulsar on 407/472. 3005 and a cadet on 464- meanwhile 4412 was on the 403/413s and 4401 was on 418/9s! Bizzare.. also quite a few buses in the depot today including a couple of DLAs, 886 was parked in line at the front of the yard this afternoon next to trainer L505 TKA - which i also saw earlier on in Bebington.

819 was on Heswalls yesterday so I assume 886 is once again not at its best.

I'm still wondering if the Enviros will be a success in Wrexham, particularly once they start going into safe mode in Chester, and limping back at 25mph.

Not sure about the Enviro400s, but "slow" Pulsars are certainly capable of their top speed - it just takes a while for them to get to it! LOL

Too add to this, 2 12 reg Pulsars on the 432/3/7.
