West Kirby line service are now being disrupted due to a points failure at Bidston East Jnct .

Resumed now but delays caused to all services caused by the amount of people leaving the Torch Relay event held at Birkenhead Park , exaccerbating the problem with the points at Bidston.

Many trains being formed of 6 cars tonight in connection with the Olympic Torch.

Noted the following:
507007 & 508140 and 507026 & 507027 on the New Brighton line
507031 & 507033 and 507013 & 508XXX on the West Kirby line

507026 is freshly overhauled.

Had 508131 on ormskirks earlier in the week and it was blowing water out of its air compressor is this normal?

508126 sustained some minor fire damage on 31 May whilst stabled at Southport. Nothing to suggest vandalism at the moment,

Liverpool Lime Street im led to believe but the start date may not be the date they first planned though

507 002 out yet?
507 026 fresh overhaul just outside or inside also?

To repeat what I said earlier, someone will report when 507002 is back in service! It's been three years so relatively speaking it's big news once it finally takes to the rails again. Early July has been suggested more than once on here.

"Overhaul" refers to the underfloor parts, which on 507026 have been renewed. It usually includes a deep external clean as well. Nothing more.

It's James St Platform 1 next, which I believe starts early September
