Nope. They just needed clearance, which they obtained on 16/08/2012. First up there was on the 16:24 Man Vic - Clitheroe and 18:06 Clitheroe to Man Vic and was worked by 142005. http://www.railforums.co.uk/attachment.p...1345817477 |

Yh 142's do turn up in the event of unavailable 156 but I can remember a few years ago it used to a 3 car class 144 on the whitby branch |

You did. A 3 car 144 used to be used on the line because of the school traffic. All services are now booked to be 156's. Heaton's 156's have a GPS tracking system for real time info displays on the Whitby line. 156484 was the first, fitted for a trial period. It is only quite recently that 142's have been cleared for Clitheroe services. Much moaning from the locals I understand! |

RE: Northern Rail
This is piece of late news ... First Class seems to have missed .. The famous Fridays Only Stockport - Stalybridge service has now been retimed to leave Stockport at 10.13 instead of 09.22 , so off peak tickets and TfGM over 60 passes are now valid on this service . |
