Why would Southport lose one of its own recently P&P'd Renowns to replace an unrefurbished one at Green Lane? I'd think it is more likely a surplus Dart from Bootle will temporarily replace 2721.

If Southport were going to send a bus to Green Lane they could send a SPD as its 11.3 but it will be probberly be a dart from Bootle !

It is highly likely to be a spare dart that will replace the renown, can't see Southport wanting to give up their renowns, and like one or two of us have already suggested it will be from Bootle just like the Marshalls that have replaced the two withdrawn ones.

With the arrival of the 12 plates in Bootle, I assume there are still some Darts spare. However as Southport is fast becoming the Marshall Capital graveyard, anything could happen!.....
Also the rumour that the Enviro's are destined to move to Bootle is unfounded. Spoke to a good source today.

It's just rumour Skemnational. It's been muted on here a few times, mainly on the Bootle thread, but its not true. As for the contract, it looks unlikely the contract will go elsewhere.

Being a Sefton Council contract it will probably be due to start in April as per all budget decisions to do with councils .

Is there a reason that they still use the Fairway Park and Ride site , just that it has the air of desolation compared to the other two sites which look like they have had money thrown at them.

I think it's only used on Sundays now & if the Esplanade is being used for events. It's a big enough site, but just poorly maintained/laid out.

To dot some "I"s and cross some "t"s folks...
The Enviro 200s were part purchased by Sefton MBC so there transfer onward is unlikely until the end /renewal of their contract.

As for Southport sending a2700 to GL...no

And last but not least 7646 ended up on 300s this afternoon in replacement for another vehicle after being repaired itself after throwing off it's belts this morning on 42/44s.

One more piece of news is that the Streetlite is being replaced today by another one in silver but 10.8m long and this one will go in service. More details to follow people!!
