Supposedly running around without and operators disc in the window and with the destination screen stuck on 'bus reversing' and was like that for 2 days. At least 2 drivers there haven't done their walkaround checks properly and D&G should have done an inspection on the bus before sending it out to ensure it was compliant with all legislation.

D&G are the 'Red Group' of the north at this rate. Complete and utter cowboys.

The vehicle was 9031 with Go North East, but only for a 3 month period earlier this year. It had previously been with Falcon in Guildford, and was last with Somerset Passenger Solutions, so it would seem to be a dealer loan vehicle.

D&G have been buying some ex-Mistral vehicles from The Bus Shop. I can't see that particular vehicle on their website (either as sold or on sale) but YX19 ONS is listed, as is YX68 ULV (with D&G currently having ULW and ULY).

RE: D&G Bus
D&G's tracking is getting a bit all over the place. I noticed this morning 504 and 570 were tracking the wrong way around. Unless there was a random swap in Wilmslow this morning 101 changed into 5002.

According to the tracking 571 came off 3/10s to replace 5002, which presumably failed as there were some missing journeys and 571 tracked doing a random drive around Handforth before taking the Wilmslow-Altrincham part of a 88 journey.

However, the strangest one is 571's replacement on the 3/10s is tracking as vehicle 1 (a Chaserider vehicle) that managed to be in Lichfield and Macclesfield at the same time.

I think 144 is in need of a repaint. Paint peeling off at the top to reveal blue underneath, same happening on the advert board (where there's currently no advert), Chaserider name has been removed, but D&G name hasn't been added.

RE: D&G Bus
The combined Macclesfield 10 service (from September) includes a roughly 2 hourly Sunday service. It looks like it goes off pattern to allow for driver breaks without needing a relief driver.

Also 108 service is to be operated by Aimee's again. So the first time both the 108 and 109 are being operated by the same operator since the disastrous Hulley's X1 commercial registration led to contracted services being cancelled.

RE: D&G Bus
According to the 87/88 timetable the 16:45 Macclesfield to Knutsford 87 connects into the 17:40 Knutsford to Altrincham 88, with no change of bus required.

So what happened today? Vehicle 504 got behind schedule on the 87 run, and the relief driver took vehicle 3015 (which had come off the 89 run) and left on time. To make matters worse it looks like the 87 driver skipped Ollerton to make up time, so if the 88 driver had waited for 504 to arrive at Knutsford bus station would have meant less than a 10 minute delay, which would easily have been made up by Altrincham.

So anyone on 504 wanting a stop beyond the bus station either has to walk or wait until almost 7pm for the next bus!

The change of vehicle is excusable if there's an operational need, but the missed connection is not.

(As an aside the 5 vehicles showing as having tracked on the 87/88/89 are all correct today - the first time in a while that's been the case!)
