RE: HTL Buses
While nothing official has been posted I have it on good authority that this is all true and was the case from 2pm yesterday. Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

Could using it as a little base to start bids on franchising possibly the previous owners of HTL have probably realised they wont likely win any contracts as an independent. RE: HTL Buses
I would suggest the ownership at HTL were possibly looking at an exit before franchising given another operator had been in discussions with them and subsequently pulled out. Given ComfortDelGro bid and won in Manchester without any prior operation I'm not sure what difference it'll make in the grand scheme of things. RE: HTL Buses
Seems an interesting purchase for Tower Transit, could lead to some wins as/when franchising happens in LCR. Rightly/wrongly smaller operators like HTL are at a big disadvantage with franchising and compared to others on Merseyside they were the biggest one so selling up is probably their only option. Interesting times. |
