Stagecoach Manchester
RE: Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
Yesterday I saw an ordinary Enviro400-MMC on route 41 with Stagecoach company name and no outward reference to Bee Network.

I expected only Bee Network assigned vehicles to be used.

The entire fleet of free bus Versa’s has suddenly been withdrawn from service, meaning Stagecoach are having to provide their own buses for both the 1 and 2 around the city centre. An additional 7 17 plate Enviro400 Mmc and 4 older Enviro200’a have been moved over to queens road to boost the fleet. As the bee network vinyls are applied by McKenna bros I’m assuming they are waiting on them to come and apply the temp Bee network vinyls.

Newly repainted 19470 is being used on the Parklife shuttle service today.

For those that don't know yet, this bus is now in white, orange and brown with greater Manchester transport fleetnames and part of the 200 years of buses celebration being run by the museum of transport this year

Not sure if it's been reported on this forum but 4 of the new Bee Network E400MMC's permanently transferred to Stagecoach East Kent recently, 11814/5/7/8. More recently, 11743-11746 have also left Manchester, reported as for East Midlands at Skegness although have been sighted heading 'south' and 11717-11722 have transferred to Stagecoach North East at Newcastle today. Presumably many more moves to happen over the next few months up to the start of Bee Network tranche 3 and Stagecoach losing Hyde Road, Sharston & Ashton (plus Arriva Wythenshawe...) to Metroline Manchester.

What a great idea! Let's go through an expensive process of painting buses an insipid shade of yellow, then ship four of them off to the other end of the country, where they'll get repainted again before they're a year old.

It doesn't make sense....in addition, three of the yellow Solo's (48101-3) have also now transferred to Stagecoach South Wales. I've seen mentions that the large batch of 82 yellow E400MMC's might only be temporary additions to Manchester and many could move on as they're owned by Stagecoach rather than TfGM.....

I do wonder if Stagecoach were forced to order the MMCs in Bee Network spec or maybe plans changed but too late to change the spec to standard Stagecoach doesn’t make sense.

I've seen a TikTok of a burned out Enviro400 on the M60 which appears to have happened this morning. No sign on the video of a numberplate or fleetnumber but the only clue is it was in local livery

Believed to be 19397....on a happier note, 19532 has been repainted into the GMS Orange livery.
