Apparently 508115 has been seen Service in at least 6 weeks so something must have gone on it

I can confirm 507012 and 508115 have been withdrawn- they are at Birkenhead North having components removed. 507012’s last day in service was last Tuesday working Ormskirk services substituting for a 777, 508115’s was Sat 29 April being taken out of service with a graffiti attack and subsequently wheel flats. Two more 777s are coming up on the 28th June so I would imagine 507012 and 508115 will depart next Sunday to provide space on the network for them

Was 508115 in passenger service on Saturday 29th April?
Do you know what its last passenger service was and/or what line it was working on please?
Was it taken out of service during the day with a graffiti attack - the attack done during the day?

Its last work would’ve been the 0946 Liverpool to Ormskirk- the graffiti was done overnight but wasn’t spotted until after it had left Kirkdale. There was a unit swap at Ormskirk later.

Yeah, it should have departed last Sunday but the ROG loco failed.
It’s now due to be moved on Sun 9 July.
777148 will be coming next Wednesday night.
507009/026 are due to leave on Sun 30 July - these will be the last 507s to leave until 2024

I suppose it will be just 508s that are replaced for the rest of this year then.

That’s correct, all 508s should be gone by the end of December

Thanks, does this mean there is one more overhaul after 507003 finishes - 507005 perhaps (I know this is due overhaul soon)?
Has 507003 returned from overhaul yet?
