Merseyside Bus Review 2022
RE: Merseyside Bus Review 2022
Wirral timetables have been released. Some could do with some proofreading first. 41/42 route descriptions are a bit of a mess.

81 (unless it is a typo) has an extra journey leave West Kirby at 1800 - but this is not mentioned in the changes.

RE: Merseyside Bus Review 2022
Yet more Merseytravel incompetence with the 216/217. All of the 216s run 10 mins infront of a 418 from Arrowe Park to Birkenhead.

217 is slightly better offering a slightly more coordinated services with the 418 but even then, there are duplications over the core network. What is the point?

If these people had a brain, they would be dangerous. More money being thrown down the drain while areas in desperate need of better public transport, lose out due to incompetence.

Just think of the money that could be saved, could go into giving the St Helens 17 better tendered service.

they have missed one of the two journeys out of the timetable on the Saturday from the 38/38A west kirby to Bromborough Retail park/ mill park in that direction only , the reverse direction is correct.

Its like someone has been hasty in pressing the send button , just makes them look incompetant .

The arrowes on the map of the Woodchurch Estate for the 41/2 do make it confusing .

I am led to believe that the service is going back to two way running around the estate now that it is no longer a circular service . Will the roadworks in New Hey Road be finished in time .

More of the Liverpool timetables have been uploaded.
Interesting to see on the Wirral changes that the evening journeys on the Moreton Circulars are withdrawn. And the frequency of routes 174/175/181 are reduced to 2 hourly

Are the 174/175/181 interworked

RE: Merseyside Bus Review 2022
My guess is they are interworked - the 175 now bizarrely starts Heswall Bus Station, goes to Heswall Shore, back on itself to Heswall Bus Station, then to Irby and back to the Bus Station. Effectively the same route - but the ‘terminus’ is now the bus station rather than Heswall Shore. Very poor to reduce these to two-hourly - Heswall has seen its services slashed in recent years. Let’s hope this is temporary. Can A2B not cope with the extra services they’re taking on?

The moreton circulars carry fresh air in the evenings and aren’t required - Town meadow is covered by the 423 which runs frequently and the 1A/1C don’t even go into Leaoswe estate - they run via the remote Moreton Shore. Better to use that bus to do a West Kirby - Arrowe Park - Heswall bus in the evenings. Using one bus. Better use for it!

Looking at the new Moreton Circular timetable, the evening services are only temporarily withdrawn.
