RE: Greater Manchester Service Changes
Changes to Transdev services from 29 August or 5 September, affecting Rosso services and the WitchWay X43.

464 - Times are changed in the afternoon change to improve reliability. For extra buses at school times, see the 844 and 864.

Irwell Line - An extra 481 journey will run at 8:39am from Haslingden to Bury, Monday to Friday.

Lakeline – On Saturday morning there will be an extra 458 trip from Shore at 0720 and Stansfield at 0727.

Bury Bolts B1, B2 and B4 – New timetables will be introduced. There will be extra journeys in the morning and afternoon on the B1 and B2 and these will also run to and from St Gabriel’s School.

Rochdale Runners R1 - The morning timetable changes with extra buses from Syke at 6:36am and 7:50am in partnership with TfGM.

Rochdale Runners R3 and R13 -The morning timetable changes with extra buses from Wallbank at 7:15am and Healey Corner at 08:18am in partnership with TfGM.

Rochdale Runners R4 and R5 – A new timetable with buses running about 30 minutes after their current time, to improve co-ordination with FirstBus 408. An extra bus is introduced at 8:36am from Peppermint Bridge to Rochdale in partnership with TfGM.

Rochdale Runners R7 - Buses are retimed by a few minutes to improve timekeeping.

Rochdale Runners R8 - Extra buses will run between Norden, Bamford, Cemetery and Rochdale every hour during the day in partnership with TfGM

Rochdale Runners R9 – Changes to times, we will depart Rochdale at 9:45am and 12:50pm.

273 - New times. The morning bus will run at 6:41am from Rawtenstall Mon-Fri, and 7:31am on Saturday. The afternoon buses leave Bolton at 5:25pm and 6:25pm on Monday to Saturday.

435 - In partnership with TfGM, the 435 will now serve Hannerton Road in Shaw. The first buses Monday to Friday will now run earlier, starting at 6:05am from Rochdale and 6:29am from Buckstones.

480 - In partnership with TfGM, the 480 will be retimed, mainly to provide a better pattern of buses into Bolton with other services. Extra trips will run at rush hours, with some journeys serving Canon Slade School and some serving St Gabriel’s in Bury.

Witchway - Our night buses are back – with new journeys on Friday nights too! Our late night timetable which will now run on Friday nights as well as Saturdays with buses from Manchester at 1200 midnight, 1am, 2am and 3am.

Other changes:

• 66 (Diamond): No longer serves Tesco in Prestwich. Monday-Saturday times changed.
• 84 (First): Evening and Sunday journeys re-timed with Sunday daytime journeys running between Manchester and Uppermill only
• 180 (First): The 0725 weekday journey from Greenfield is re-timed to run 5 minutes earlier
• 184 (First): Some Sunday daytime journeys are extended from Grotton to Huddersfield (every 2 hours), replacing service 84. One Monday-Saturday evening journey is extended from Grotton to Marsden via Uppermill and Diggle (possibly connects with First WY's 183/185 services to/from Huddersfield).
• 287 (Little Gem): Re-routed to run the opposite way around Bowdon Vale with a slight re-routing
• 335 (Little Gem): Re-routed around Dane Bank. Times changed.
• 435 (Rosso): The 0741 weekday journey from Milnrow to Rochdale via Shaw is withdrawn (partly covered by service 408)
• 458 (Rosso): The 0735 Saturday journey from Littleborough to Rochdale is re-timed to start at 0715 and run via Shore and Stansfield first before returning to Littleborough at 0735
• 537 (Vision Bus): An additional weekday journey is introduced at 0723 from Astley Bridge on schooldays.
• 577 (Vision Bus): An additional weekday journey is introduced at 0708 from Horwich to Bolton on schooldays.
• 584 (Tyrers): The 0736 schoolday journey from Crankwood is withdrawn.
• 613 (Hattons): Monday-Saturday service re-timed with some journeys extended to St John Fisher RC High School on schooldays
• 630 (Hattons): Service re-timed with some journeys extended to Dean Trust Rose Bridge School on schooldays
• 635 (Diamond): Monday-Saturday daytime journeys to run between Wigan and Appley Bridge only
• B1/B2 (Rosso): Services re-timed with some journeys extended to St Gabriel's High School on schooldays
• R2 (Rosso): The 0750 weekday journey from Norden to Bury is re-timed to run 10 minutes earlier
• R3/R13 (Rosso/Burnley Bus): All journeys officially operated by Burnley Bus Company (probably with Rosso buses though) with some timetable changes on weekdays
• R8 (Rosso/Burnley Bus): Times changed with full Monday-Saturday daytime service introduced, operated by Burnley Bus Company
• X41 (Transdev Blackburn Bus): Additional stops introduced along Bury New Road between Higher Broughton and Strangeways.

First Manchester have posted their changes on their website, giving some more details on some of the changes. Looks like that the 83, 84 and 409 will have a fully restored evening service with later departures each way.

Last departure from Manchester to Oldham on the 83/84 will be 0020 (currently 2335) with buses continuing to run every 30 minutes on each route after 2200.

Also, the V4 is restored after the summer holidays.

TfGM have posted the new timetable for the X57 between Sheffield and Manchester Airport. One change that hasn't been reported beforehand is that as well as the re-routing via Hyde bus station, buses will also be stopping at Gorton Tesco as well.

Unlike the Hyde re-routing, the stopping in Gorton appears to apply to all journeys on the X57, including the Friday/Saturday night and Sunday journeys.

No sign of a timetable for the X1 between Ashbourne and Manchester on TfGM's website or any mention of the X1 in the X57 timetable.

Hulleys are coming under some intense criticism on their Facebook page regarding the X1. Many people reporting X1’s not turning up, apparently some Hulleys drivers are telling passengers X1’s are not running due to driver shortage, with another saying it’s passing to D&G from Wednesday. Hulleys won’t confirm or deny and will only say ‘all buses left on time this morning’.
Maybe this time they have bitten off more than they can cope with.

Hulleys have just announced the X1 has been withdrawn due to driver shortage, and Sunday X57’s will terminate at Chorlton street and not run through to the airport.

Looks like a driver shortage at Transdev too, as Rosso's 467/468 and 469 services have started to run temporary timetables this week with a reduced weekday daytime frequency of every 15 minutes on the 469 (down from every 10 minutes) and reduced Monday-Saturday daytime frequencies of every 30 minutes each (down from every 20 minutes each) on the 467 and 468, meaning a combined 15 minute frequency instead of 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, Blackburn Bus' service 1 between Blackburn and Bolton will see its short journeys between Blackburn and Darwen temporarily withdrawn.
