As you say it's crazy and they are srapping cadets to but I do like the cadets hopefully 4104 will get sort

If this was a few years ago all of the Cadets,Commanders (up to 06 plates) & ALX400s would be about to be withdrawn due to being 15 years old however Arriva keep vehicles longer now.

Though, I always wonder why some buses are lucky to get new engines to get a extended lease of life, such as 2493, which got a new engine and differentials before transfer to Green Lane a few months ago despite having a model year of 2004 and on 54 reg. I wonder if the engines for such older buses are still in production today or they take the engines from older buses that are no longer reliable for service?

Chances are that 2504,2505 & 2508 will probably become training vehicles as well.

The expression of interest window for the tender on the X1 came to a close this morning at 11am. Will be interesting to see who’s won the bid after Merseytravel’s made a decision

An interesting diversion on the 82A today (Sunday 10th). Due to the closure of Duke Street in one direction, the 82A will be using Renshaw Street, instead of its usual diversion via Park Lane. Journeys into Liverpool are unaffected.
