2323 New Brighton - New Brighton was setback from Birkenhead park to Birkenhead North and eventually ran to New Brighton

2258 Chester - Chester was set back to Birkenhead Central and eventually ran to Chester

2319 Ellesmere Port - Hamilton Sq terminated at Green Lane

Sounded like a bad night for the Wirral Line

In a situation like this, whereby the last service is cancelled from a particular station, would station staff arrange taxis for any passengers who remain on the platform (waiting for the final service)?

This would have applied to quite a few stations last night (Liverpool stations, Hamilton square and stations along with West Kirby line).

Yeah the duty manager would authorise taxis for any remaining passengers. In all likelihood and with passenger figures at the moment it would of been very quiet.

Usually when something goes wrong at night it is on just one of the spokes of the network and not normally in such a strategic part of the network.

Yes , Alternative Transport will be provided , but the amount of passengers now travelling after 2200hrs is very minimal since the curfew imposed by HM Government due to the Coronavirus.

Thanks, good to know regarding arrangements for alternate transport.

Any idea which units(s) failed as 2W58?
I believe this is usually a 6 car when operating under the Covid timetable.

Thanks, was it not a 6 car yesterday 2W58?

507018 is unlucky at the moment, it was the unit involved in the "smoke" incident at the underground stations a few weeks back as well.

Has there been a rescheduled date for delivery of the next 777 units to Kirkdale?

I have just seen a picture of 777012 outside the Stadler plant in Switzerland, https://www.instagram.com/p/CF45wRmMo4C/
