Arriva North West - Southport Depot
RE: Arriva North West - Southport Depot

RE: Arriva North West - Southport Depot
It does seem that Southport has been dealt a dismal hand. These are very small buses for an already much depleted network of town services. The Runcorn busway does seem a more natural choice or Birkenhead for the likes of the 409, 492, 495 etc.

I would imagine the 47 will remain the current mix of Enviro400s and Pulsars. This route has generally been majority decker-operated for several months now and I don't see why the gradual emergence from lockdown would change that.

It is such a shame looking back that the great bus switch around of 2018 never emerged which would have seen Southport gain additional Enviro400s for the 47. The 375/385 has been a cruel mistress to Southport's Enviro400s as they ride particularly badly, even allowing for ADL's questionable build quality!

Regarding the Commander allocation, 2505 is at Runcorn while 2624 doesn't seem to get out much at the moment.

3101(i) | 3305 | 3616 | 4012 | 4159 | 4100 | 4102 | 4118 | 4127 | 4475
313044 | 313064 | 313220 | 314206 | 314210 | 315809 | 315839 | 315857 | 507001 | 507002 | 507006 | 507008 | 507009 | 508114 | 508138 | 508208

Southport's Enviro400s are the only ones out of the substantial 2014/5 batch that were built in Scarborough plus they have 40-50% more mileage than any of the Merseyside ones to.

A massive backwards step for Canning Road, in my opinion.

I rode one on route 393 in London in 2015. As I found it quite uncomfortable I alighted at an earlier interchange than initially intended.

Conversely the later ENS on route W11 (now transferred to route 410) was really good.

2158 has been at Wrexham for quite some time. 2156/7 are (unless somebody knows otherwise) outstationed at Llandudno.

The Southport batch should be 2159- 66.
