Interesting that MRC aka Derby are doing these repaints but they do a lot for various Arriva subsidiaries and outside contracts. A matter of interest, how did you come about this information? |

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Anyone got an update of the fleet & how things stand currently at winsford??? Guessing with public transport still being fairly quiet it's going to be a while before 4402/4403/4404 start appearing on macc - crewe duties. At the mo it's being run with cadets which are working out well. Another thing to note is that over the last few weeks or so quite a few macc drivers have left. There's 5 I recognise from macc who now drive for D&G, also quite a few winsford drivers now work for D&G too. |

I dont know if this is connected to the disappearance of the 2 DB250s as Ive not seen either of them around Crewe for about 2 weeks. I've been told by drivers that deckers can no longer be used on the 38 to Macc as the bus also works the 10 from Macc to Bollington, which is not suitable for deckers. They've also say that quite a few drivers have left & gone to D&G because of the attitude of the managers at winsford, who they say are 'aggressive' & blame the drivers for everything that goes wrong. |

It's a bit unexpected, because deckers have been used on the 10 to Bollington before. |

The way things are and I dont know if they've changed recently is that Macclesfield Outstation is stilll closed so all of the Macclesfield work is being worked out of Winsford hence why at the moment 10s and 38s and interworking with each other at Macclesfield and are currently single deck operated at the moment. There's also Solos on the routes that Macclesfield outstation normally operate with the Stratas at the moment. |

The bollington route can be worked with deckers as it's happened loads before now. The stratas have started working in macc again now, can't be sure exactly but I think arriva have reinstated the normal timetables again. With macc depot still shut down things don't look too peachy at the moment. |

It appears the two serviceable Presidents 4163 and 4164 haven't been out this week. They may well be finished now with the recent Enviro400 arrival from Wales. A shame if true as I was hoping to pop over to Northwich this week to ride them.

Maybe someone in management is getting the 10 and 21 mixed up: https://www.macclesfield-live.co.uk/news...ts-2527852 Although interesting to read the driver's account of how the decker ended up on that route. - Driver repeatedly reports braking issue with normal bus - ignored - Driver reports near miss with normal bus due to faulty brakes - driver allocated a decker next day - Driver says she doesn't want to take a decker out as it's unsuitable for the route - ignored. - Arriva are a decker down and are handed a £70,000 bill by Network Rail for their bus hitting a railway bridge - management take notice! |
