RE: Merseyrail
All Southport, Hunts Cross and Ormskirk services severely delayed or cancelled due to signalling problems at Moorfields. In addition, a person was struck by a Liverpool-bound train at Aintree. Numerous ambulances and fire engines in attendance.

Does anyone know if 508125 is back in service yet since this incident?

RE: Merseyrail
Yesterday (10th March), there was a points failure at the reversing sidings at Liverpool Central.
This meant the Ormskirk trains had to arrive and depart from platform 1. With the 9 minutes turnaround time on the Ormskirk line at central, this meant all other trains (Southport, Hunts Cross and Kirkby bound) had to rely on using platform 2. Despite the tight timings on platform 2 it seemed to work quite well with little disruption to any of the services.
That said, one of the Ormskirk trains around 8pm which usually sits out of service for 20 minutes in the sidings had to travel ECS to Liverpool South Parkway, reverse and then travel back empty to central platform 2 to form the 2017 departure to Ormskirk.
This is the first time, at least since the introduction of the timetable change on the Ormskirk line in 2018 that I have known the reversing sidings at Central to be out of action during a weekday at least.

RE: Merseyrail
That Ormskirk train probably had to do that to enable ECS to be able to travel to and from the Wirral Line , the stock interchange does have a busy phase around that time .

RE: Merseyrail
It seems 777003 is out on its first test run on the network.
It is running on the Kirkby line, in the early hours of this morning (16th March) running with head code "1X01".

How did it perform, the sliding step with the platform edge?
