RE: Blackpool Transport
Blackpool will surely have a highly standardised as well as modern fleet once these are in service.

That was their stated intention a couple of years ago. It's the same direction as that being taken by Nottingham.

RE: Blackpool Transport
For a council owned company they are great at upgrading there fleet as they look great.
Where other councils seem to be making reductions to funding in the public transport section , these are doing the opposite and investing in theres.

It's all good upgrading the fleet but do they have the money to do it. They are more expensive than their competitors where they exist and it seems like a lot of passes being used on routes. The routes are mostly high frequency start until end with routes ending at like 11pm even to Staining (which can't make much as it's hourly during the day). They do seem to over service areas. Surely they can't be making this much investment and still be making a profit.

Their rule of no buses older than 5 years is quite a big thing to stick by and keep making profit in a market which is full of struggling operators.

Clearly for all that investment the company does have the money for it and is doing fine..

I'd hardly call Blackpool "small". Including the tram fleet, they've not far short of 200 vehicles.
