Voel Coaches, Dyserth, Rhyl
A MAN 18.400 / Plaxton Panther has joined the Voel fleet. It was originally YN08AUE when new in April 2008 to P and O Coaches, Bagillt - it went to Jacksons in Blackpool in December 2013 and for a while was registered as H10BBY. Having joined Voel it has now been given the number 3377VC and will soon be given appropriate vinyls - <PHOTO>

The Scania K113CRB / Van Hool T8 Alizee which until this week carried the registration number 3377VC has been re-registered to its original number of M2 OVC.

M and H, Trefnant, Denbigh
This firm has been featured as the 'Fleet in Focus' in the December issue of Buses.

They are also now using MK52YCP a Volvo B10M-62 / Plaxton Paragon. Whilst it carries their name in the front wondow and their legals it belongs to Maldwyn Evans (Modurdy’r Foelas), Pentrefoelas who has previously loaned vehicles to M and H. <PHOTO2>

I have a website which looks at the bus and coach operators in North East Wales. There are current fleetlists for all operators and most have a full historic fleet list.
Included are current depot fleet lists for Arriva Cymru. There are also a number of ceased opertators with historic fleet lists including the GHA Group

Lloyds have registered the T2 and T3 as split services from 7th January, but only the T2 is cancelled in its present form.

Do Lloyds put tachos on their buses and use EU rules for the T2 and T3 now? I suppose that could put them at a loss in terms of drivers hours as drivers can't do as much before needing a longer break.

Both the T2 & T3 currently operate to EU rules

And will continue to do for the foreseeable future, unless of course you want the drivers to fall asleep at the wheel.

Vicky's Coaches, Mochdre, Colwyn Bay and B E Davies Coaches, Leeswwod

Both of the above firms were called to a Traffic Commissioners Public Inquiry today.

Vicky's Coaches had found themselves in a situation where they were transporting children and there was not sufficient seats on the coach so they utilised a minibus which turned out not to have the correct class of MoT for those circumstances. Mitigation was given that there were no findings of mechanical issues and the minibus did have seat bellts. The Traffic Commissioner, Nick Jones, also gave credit for the fact that the firm had taken various measures to ensure that there would be no repetition and therefore found that the partnership had not lost their repute but their professional competence had been tarnished. Also whilst Simon Alexander had not lost his repute as a transport manager it had also been tarnished. After hearing that they currently only had three coaches he reduced the number of vehicles on the licence from four to three until the end of December. He also indicated that there should be no objection to the current application for a new licence under the name of Victoria Louise Alexander which was being applied for as there were in essence now two separate businesses.

The issue relating to B E Davies Coaches, of Leeswood was that a driver had been employed without adequate checking of the driver's licence. Written submissions had been made on behalf of the firm outlining the actions taken to prevent a reoccurrence so the matter was dealt without the attendance of the partners and a formal warning was issued.
